The other night in Newark, NJ Frank G swung through to Brick City’s Garden Variety Show hosted by Drew Hartman, Grasshopper, DJ Rhino, and others. Frank G showcased some new ISHtrumentals for the opening freestyle cypher and Talonted performed some of the new material we’ve been busy working on this summer as well. Peace to everyone involved in throwing these types of ill music events. Its shows like this that still make everything all worthwhile, and if we continue to support it…. we might all just be ok after all. Peace to all of the artists that blessed the night as well… We’ll see you at the next event for sure. Below is some footage for those that could not be a part of the night.
Here’s a brief little video snippet of a session with Jersey’s own J.A.M.E.S. Watts captured by none other than Pixel Mobb. Frank G, James, and Pete Normandia talk about various topics in hip hop, and culture in general, as well as work on new ideas for prospective songs on their upcoming projects. As summer in NJ is finally upon us, the ISH Productions is gearing up for a serious musical onslaught, and can’t wait to show you what we have in store. But before the new music is even out, we thought we might shed some light on some of the artists that are a part of the creative team, and give you a chance to FAMiliarize yourselves with them and their music.
THIS is Talonted
Talonted is one of those artists that you can’t really put in a box. He’s a witty MC, attorney, business owner, and a visionary with a dope story to tell… not to mention a brand new EP on the way courtesy of Flo Global and Frank G of the ISH Productions. As we progress through this project, we will be updating all of you from time to time with video of sessions, songs we are working on, and events we are throwing to promote.

On Saturday July 17th 2010, Talonted will be performing at the Serenity Entertainment Fashion Event. Over 35 beautiful runway models will be hitting the catwalk at the Times Square Arts Center. Fashion designers and artists will be showcasing their new lines and music and will be a media event to remember.

The Cook Out is a weekly feature that involves YOU, our fans. What ever projects we have in the works, I wanted to share with you in real time this summer, or in as much real time as possible. Whether it be new instrumentals, songs, album designs, events, etc., I want our fans a part of the creative processes throughout.
This week, I have been making and re-visiting certain instrumentals that i am currently considering for upcoming projects with an array of interesting artists. Because of the versatility of some of the projects at hand, I have the luxury of opening the dialogue, and hopefully engaging in some interesting creative conversations with you.
The first order of business is this next ISHtrumental… what type of thoughts, concepts, vibes does this beat give you immediately? What artist would you like to hear over this beat, or even, what acapella would you be interested in hearing over this beat? Whats a good title for it?

YASIN along with his brother BOTTOMLINE performed LIVE at the ARMORY TAVERN in Newark, NJ the other night for the “Garden Variety Show.” The Armory hosts a dope hip hop show with some true talent. Last year I had the privilege of working on a film alongside of Directors and friends, Rik Cordero and Nancy Mitchell, on an independent film entitled, “Inside a Change.” The movie was a huge success and ended up taking home the top prize at the NY Latino International Film Festival, and was named HBO’s Best Picture at the event. Three 21 Media has finally released the special edition DVD of this film, and is available for purchase here. Toe Tag Ent., the ISH Productions, Pixel Mobb, and Fallout Shelter team up to create the song “Yin vs. Yang” to promote an upcoming collaboration of new music. This upcoming release is a rare inside look at the creative processes that go into creating meaningful music at the ISH Production’s and Fallout Shelter’s studios in New Jersey and Brooklyn. In this particular episode, artists Yasin and Haylo, lay down verses to an instrumental created by Frank G and D-Boards, as part of a series of videos soon to be released by Pixel Mobb. Previous episodes of this particular session and others will be posted in the upcoming weeks, along with information on other collaborative projects.
